Andrew's 2nd Birthday Party

I got to celebrate my 2nd birthday a few weeks early! I had such a fun time. A lot of my family and friends were able to come to the party. Mom & Dad made the party "Thomas" themed because that is my favorite thing right now. I was so excited opening up my presents..I kept saying "open more Thomas's". Thanks everyone for all the nice presents!

Leech Lake Weekend

We just had another fun-filled weekend! We were able to use Great Aunt Arlyss's lake home on Leech Lake in Walker, MN. The Lake lived up to it's name this weekend because I got a leech between my toes! Dad says it was a baby leech, but Mom swears it was huge!
The Hanson & Wietecki families joined us for the weekend and we had lots of fun.

We had a dance party on the deck while groovin' to Eva's new Hanna Montana CD...
And we had some quality boy play time in the tub. If Baby Luke looks like he's freezing...he probably is...Daddy keeps the bath water very cold to keep me awake...sorry Lukey!

Since I wake up at the crack of dawn, my parents took me into downtown Walker both mornings we were in town so we wouldn't wake up the rest of the cabin. We went to 2 different coffee shops and got very friendly with the local Mama Duck & her ducklings. We even got to see Mama Duck fight off a weasel while protecting her babies. I guess it's not just my Mom that's protective, huh?

Heaven on Earth...Tractors at the Zoo!

The MN Zoo had a special Family Fun day out at the Zoo Farm. You'll never guess what was there...just about every John Deere tractor known to man! I am absolutely in love with every type of tractor right now, so it was a dream come true to get to sit on them! I love tractors so much that every time my parents as what I want to do I say: "Play tractors". If they ask me what I dreamed about last night I say "Dreamed about tractors". I've even been known to chase the cat around the house saying "Basil play tractors??" So needless to say, we had a super fun day at the zoo!

Oh yeah, and there were some animals there too... :-)

Hey Chicago What Do You Say, the Cubs are Gonna Win Today!

We went to Chicago in early August for a fun visit with family and to throw Aunt Beth a baby shower. Mom and Dad decided to have a little babymoon in downtown Chicago for one night and left me with Aunt Beth, Uncle Brian, Grandma & Papa. Don't worry, I didn't miss them too much - when they showed up after not seeing them for 48 hours I pretty much ignored them and started asking where Grandma & Papa were. I'm pretty independent!

When my parents were in Chicago they got to have breakfast with Mommy's good friend Bre from college. I haven't met her yet, but Mom says she's lots of fun and was so glad to see her.
Mom & Dad also went to a Cubs game with Grandma & Papa - the Cubs won!
Isn't this a funny T-shirt?...
On the day of Aunt Beth's shower Daddy took care of my good friend Caden and me for a few hours. It was a hot day so we had lots of fun with water...

Mommy & Aunt Beth are due on the same day: November 2nd! Wouldn't it been fun if both babies were born on my birthday on November 3rd? Keep your fingers crossed...

Flanagan's Lake Cabin

My Daddy's cousin (James & his wife Denise) invited the whole Evens clan up to their cabin near Battle Lake, MN. We went tubing down the river on our rafts and I got to spend some quality time with my cousins, aunts, uncles and grandparents. Thanks for a fun weekend!

Clowing Around...

The Hanson kids came for a quick visit. We went on walks and to the zoo too during their fun 2 day stay, but this is the only picture we managed to take!
The next night my Daddy decided to wrap me up tight in my towel after my bath. Mom thought it was hysterical for some reason. After bath I always ask Daddy to pick me up by saying: "Daddy hold you?"

4th of July at the Lake

We got to spend another fun 4th of July at the Hanson's lake home near Detroit Lakes, MN. I always have so much fun hanging out with the Hanson kids.
On the first day there we got to take in the annual "Boat Parade" on Lake Middle Cormorant. Very exciting stuff!
And even though there's a huge beautiful lake that we could swim in...we really liked splashing around in the kiddie pool even better. Thanks for playing with me so much Eva & Travis - you're great friends.
