First Haircut!!

Today I got my very first haircut. Kisha, the lady who cuts Mommy's hair, gave me a very badly needed trim today.

...still fuzzy, but much more manageable!

Before my haircut this morning, I had a fun adventure with a basket of socks. For some reason, I think socks are hysterical. So while Daddy was watching me this morning he thought it would be fun to put me IN the sock basket. He was right...what a riot!!

Grafton ND - What a Fun Place to BE!

We had the chance to spend Labor Day weekend in the fun town of Grafton, North Dakota where my Grandma & Grandpa Evens live. It was such a nice and relaxing weekend...

We spent a lot of time in my Grandma's beautiful backyard. I've heard a lot about her gardening skills, but to see her flowers in person was really a treat!

This picture is of me and my parent's friend Rob. We got to have lunch with Rob before he left for his worldwide adventure to southeast Asia. He is touring the world on his own and photographing and blogging along the way (just like me!). To check out his travels, go to roamingrob.com.

A highlight of my trip to Grafton was when we went out to my grandparents farm. The land has been in my family for generations so it was very neat to spend time out there. My grandparents rent the land to farmers who farm sugar beets, potatoes and many other delicious things!

Thanks for a fun weekend Grandma & Grandpa - I can't wait to visit again soon!!

Brian's Welcome Home Party

I know it's been a long time since my last post...sorry. My Mom hasn't given me much computer time lately because she's been working a lot on the computer. But I finally got some internet time (my parents think I'm sleeping right now...shhh don't tell them!)

Anyways, these pictures should have been posted about a month ago! We went to Chicago on August 18th for Uncle Brian's Welcome Home Party. We stayed with my best friend Caden and his parents that weekend...what fun!!

This is Caden and me hanging out in my ride - we had a lot of fun rolling around Downers Grove the whole weekend in my wagon (Thanks Grandpa!). I kept trying to steal Caden's snacks, but other than that we got along great!

Each morning we took the wagon up town for coffee & treats. Yum!
Caden was also kind enough to share his bath tub with me. Our moms said we'll be embarassed of this picture when we're older, but it's cute now!
This is a picture from Beth & Brian's party. In addition to their welcome home event, they also renewed their wedding vows. We were inside for the ceremony, but luckily the rain stopped for the backyard party.

Uncle Brian's Home!!

Hip Hip Hooray...Uncle Brian is home from Iraq!! I got to meet him last Saturday when we were in Chicago. I love you Uncle Brian - I'm so glad you're back!

Andrew Turns 9 Months Old!!

I turned 9 months old on August 3rd.
I think I'm such a big shot now...I know how to crawl, pull myself up, I weigh over 20 pounds and I have 5 teeth!!

Fun in the Sun

My parents and I just got back from a fun filled family vacation in Bethany Beach, DE. I was having so much fun that I decided not to sleep much on the trip. I had my parents up a lot during the night and by 5:45 most mornings! It's a good thing the bakery in town opened at 6:30 and served amazing chocolate croissants, or my parents might have been a little cranky!

On one of those early mornings, we drove up to Rehoboth Beach (15 minutes north of where we were staying) to see the town. Too bad it was so early that only Dunkin' Donuts was open!

We were able to take some fun pictures though...

There was a nice park only 1 block from where we stayed, so Daddy took me over to play on the swings one day. What fun!!

This is me and my cousin Josh (his Daddy and my Mommy are cousins). The house we stayed at had this awesome wagon in the garage, so we went for a lot of rides on the boardwalk and down to the beach.

They also had this fun pool at the house that we dragged down to the beach and filled up with salt water. I love to swim!

Josh loaned me his sunglasses. Look out ladies...

This last picture is of our entire group. We spent the whole week with my Grandma O's family.

Front row: Mommy, Courtney, Becca, Grandma, Tammy, Molly, Patty, Ruth.
Back row: me & Daddy, Andy, Dave, Pete, Grandpa, Josh, Jason, Mike
Thanks Vorel family for an AWESOME week!!!

Happy 4th of July!!

I got to spend my first Independence Day with my Mommy's whole family! Grandma & Grandpa O drove in from Iowa for a long weekend and Aunt Beth was visiting too! We spent the (very hot) afternoon at Fort Snelling being very patriotic in honor of my Uncle Brian (who just got back to the USA after serving in Iraq for 2 years!! Hooray!!)

I loved holding on to this flag all day. But Mommy kept checking on me to make sure I didn't poke an eye out!

Aren't I cute...I'm the old man with the beer belly on the left. I guess all those Budweisers are catching up to me already...

My Daddy took this picture right before the cannons went off. It was a really fun day! Hooray for the USA!
