I'm going to be a big brother!

In case you haven't heard - I have some great news - I'm going to be a big brother! My mommy is pregnant with another baby and due at the end of October. I am convinced that it's a girl because I'm always telling my mom that the baby in her tummy is my sister. We were all at the doctor's office yesterday and we got to see the baby on the TV - very cool! Daddy doesn't want to know if it's a boy or girl though so we didn't get to find out - what a fun surprise that will be in the Fall! Here are the first pictures of my baby brother or sister...

...this last one is funny...the baby was getting poked and pushed around a lot during the appointment and the last picture they took the baby had its hand on its forehead...we think she/ he was thinking "why all the poking? are we almost done yet? jeez!"

Hotel Party

We had cabin fever a few weeks ago when the weather was yucky so we loaded up the SUV and checked into a hotel about 20 minutes from our house. Daddy's family came and joined us for some fun swims in the pool.

I also discovered that my swim boat doubles as a space alien suit...

We had a really fun day. If the weather doesn't perk up soon, we may have to go back!

Easter Eggs are Funny

This year for Easter in Iowa I got to color eggs for the first time! It was so much fun watching the eggs change color and scooping them out with my spoon. I kept trying to drink the egg coloring, but that was not very popular with the grown-ups!

Later that day I got to have my own personalized Easter Egg hunt (since I'm the only kid right now). It was so much fun to search for the eggs and put them in my basket - I kept running around shouting... "Egg...Egg...Egg" everytime I saw one!

Andrew the Builder

This past weekend I was honing my construction skills by helping Daddy.

We are replacing the floor in our kitchen and I helped to pound in some nails. One of my favorite words is "hammer" which sounds like "hamm-oo".
We also got this fun kit to make a stool from Home Depot. I like doing projects with my Daddy!

North Dakota Trip

A few weeks ago I traveled to Fargo, North Dakota for Luke Hanson's baptism. My parents are his godparents:

After the baptism, mommy & me drove up to see Grandma & Grandpa in Grafton. Here's a picture of me being silly in Grandpa's hat & gloves!

New Year's 2008 in the Smoky Mountains with the Evens Family

After Christmas we flew to Knoxville, Tennessee to spend a week with the whole Evens family in the Smoky Mountains. We had so much fun!

Cousin Julia and I had such a fun week spending time together...

Just the boys...
Here's a picture of the whole group in front of our cabin. Thanks Grandma & Grandpa!
